Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American journalist. She currently works for ESPN as a anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. Her first job at ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since her age of nine. Her skills were instrumental in securing her first post as a production assistant for Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Then, in St. Petersburg, she was later hired by the CBS station as an sports reporter. Then she moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at one of the Spanish stations KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Reporting on stories on drug trafficking and immigration across the border of Mexico and Texas. In Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd November 1985. There is also a younger sibling. The family in 1992 left Mexico and relocated to Miami. Then, shortly afterward the family split up, and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo remarried. He died from kidney cancer in the year 2006. She stayed at Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was given an opportunity to work. Antonietta had just graduated high school, but was already aware of her plans for what she would do. The result was that she liked the campus as well as the fact that it provided the degree she was looking for. After graduation, she attended the University as a media studies major. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was an affiliate. Her professor, Mark Bergmann, inspired her by his passion for journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
